South more disciplined, Bollywood has also moved forward: Sonu Sood

"Both are professional industries. When I started, South has been more disciplined. They value their dates and are more organised," the 38-year-old said on Thursday in an interview.

"But slowly, with time, Bollywood has also come a long way. People have become punctual, they release their films fast. So it's good they value time and we have professional people working towards making good films. I thoroughly enjoy working in both the industries," he added.

In Bollywood, Sonu impressed with his work in 'Jodhaa Akbar' and 'Dabangg' and down South he gave hits like Telugu movies 'Super' and 'Arundhati'.

Sonu welcomes the trend of southern films being remade in Hindi and says it's no longer a one-way thing and that the southern film industry is following suit.

"It's not only that South films are remade in Hindi. There are Hindi films like 'Munnabhai M.B.B.S.' or '3 Idiots' and many other that have been remade in southern languages," said Sonu.

He believes that the trend allows audiences on both sides to watch quality cinema.

"As long as you have a good script, it's nice to get the film remade and cater to audiences who are not able to see that film."

"'Dabangg' got remade down South. So, as long as the script is good, there is no harm in trying out different actors," added Sonu who played Chhedi Singh in 'Dabangg' and reprised his role in the Tamil remake 'Osthe'."

Reportedly, Sonu's 'Arundhati' is expected to be remade in Hindi.

He will soon be seen in the role of an encounter cop in 'Maximum', releasing on June 29. Directed by Kabhir Kaushik of 'Seher' fame, the also stars Neha Dhupia and Naseeruddin Shah.u00a0
