The actress arrived in a maroon coloured lehenga at the Martinez Hotel in Cannes to attend a photocall of the Jury on the eve of the 66th edition of the Cannes Film Festival
The 66th edition of Cannes Film Festival kickstarted today at the French Riviera. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, who is making a debut at the festival and is also the jury member with renowned names like Nicole Kidman, Ang Lee and jury president Steven Spielberg from Hollywood, made her first appearance at the festival.

The actress wore a maroon coloured Sabyasachi lehenga complimented with chunky 'jhumkas'.
Vidya Balan, who feels honoured to be a part of the jury at the festival especially when Indian cinema completes 100 years, had recently mentioned about her dressing preferences at the festival. "I will be wearing sarees forever. My style mantra here is Indian so I am going to do the same at Cannes too. I also wear a lot of 'kalidars' some of which I am going to wear there too."
Vidya called up designer Sabyasachi to design her clothes for the several appearences at Cannes. "Sabyasachi is designing my clothes and Jayati Bose will be doing my styling for Cannes," she said.
