The Movies Stunt Artist Association will resort to cease work starting from Friday to express solidarity with the video editors' association that launched an indefinite strike on Tuesday.

The disgruntled members have been questioning the inordinate delay in signing the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between their parent body, Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) and producers' association.

The federation had gone on strike on October 3 after which the producers promised to sign the much-delayed agreement by October 14.
"We are supporting the editors and also want producers to extend insurance cover to all stuntsmen and provide compensation in case of accident or death on sets," said Aejaz Gulab, general secretary of stunt artistes' union.
