Wants 'Happy New Year' to release before 'Mohalla Assi'

Sunny Deol has two projects Happy New Year with Kangna Ranaut and Mohalla Assi with telly actress Sakshi Tanwar on the floors.

Buzz is that the producers of both projects want their film to release first to cash in on the popularity of Sunny post Yamla Pagla Deewana.

Says a source, "Though Sunny is extremely excited up about both films, he wants Happy New Year to release first.

He feels that after Yamla Pagla Deewana, which was a comedy, the audience will lap up anotheru00a0 funny flick."

Fresh pair

Adds the source, "Also,u00a0 Kangna has received a favourable response to Tanu Weds Manu, a romantic comedy. And their pairing is fresh."

Though the shoot of Mohalla Assi is complete and Sunny starts dubbing for it soon, HNY has had a schedule in New York with the remaining portions yet to be filmed in Mumbai.

Happy New Year, directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, is produced by Bhushan Kumar. While Mohalla Assi is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and is produced by Vinay Tiwari.

However, a source close to Deol maintains, "Sunny is looking forward to both films. He is particularly excited about Mohalla Assi as it has been a unique experience shooting for it. As the film is complete, it appears that Mohalla Assi is likely to be out first."

Meanwhile Sunny leaves for Manali on April 11 for a script reading of the Ghayal sequel which he plans to shoot from August.
