Swara Bhaskar: I said yes without knowing what the life of a singer really is like

Swara Bhaskar, who will be seen in the role of an erotic singer from Aarah, Bihar, in Avinash Das's, Anaarkali Of Aarah, claims she wasn't certain of the character she would have to essay when she greenlit the project

Swara Bhaskar, who will be seen in the role of an erotic singer from Aarah, Bihar, in Avinash Das's, Anaarkali Of Aarah, claims she wasn't certain of the character she would have to essay when she greenlit the project.

"I said yes without knowing what the life of a singer like (her) really is like. Once I began touring the country to get into the skin of my character, I wondered — what have I landed myself in," says the actress, adding that she was looking forward to the challenge. Those who have seen her performance in the film claim it is her best outing till date.

Anarkali Of Aarah is the third production of Priya and Sandiip Kapur's Promodome Motion Pictures, and hits screens on March 24. It also features Sanjay Misra in a pivotal role. For Mishra, who plays the antagonist in the film, depicting a character he found repulsive was no mean feat either.
