That is what Sanjay Gupta intends to do with his Bigde Nawab

Sanjay Gupta is all set to film an insider's look at the entertainment industry. Entitled Bigde Nawab, it will take a no-holds-barred look at some of the most spectacular films, biggest scandals, stars and expos ufffds in Mumbai's film world. The film will spare no one. The lately-exiled filmmaker has penned the film with Robin Bhatt and Kamlesh Pandey.

Ready to roll
Gupta spills the beans with guarded enthusiasm. "I've been working on my script on the film industry for the longest time. And I am ready to roll this year. My two biggest sources of inspiration for writing this film are Gulzar saab and Salim Khan saab. I've had the privilege of knowing both of them closely. They've been invaluable creative strengths for me. It's their profound knowledge of the film industry that inspired me to make Bigde Nawab." The film will be dedicated to the two writers.'

Previous attempts
Interestingly, films on the Hindi film industryu00a0-- barring Ram Gopal Varma's Rangeela and Farah Khan's Om Shanti Omu00a0-- haveu00a0 never been too successful. The commercial failure of Kaagaz Ke Phool, Guru Dutt's take on the industry, had shattered him. Meraj's Sitara and Zoya Akhtar's Luck By Chance, also set in theu00a0 film industry, flopped. In fact, two lines byu00a0 Gulzar in Sitarau00a0-- Yeh saaye hain yeh duniya hai parchaiyon ki/Bhari bheed mein khaali tanhaiyon kiu00a0-- inspired Gupta to make Bigde Nawab.
