Vidya Balan can now add a luxury car to her list of prized possessions, thanks to her doting dad, P R Balan.

Though the actress had set her sights on the vehicle, she had put off the decision to but it to a later date.

Knowing about his daughter's desire, Balan Sr took it upon himself to get what she desired, ASAP.

Some days ago, her parents who normally stay away from media glare, accompanied her to a screening of Paa. Her father loved her in the movie and decided to gift Vidya what she always wanted.

Home delivery

Adds the source, "The next morning, her dad began with the paperwork of the car and told the showroom folk to deliver it at their doorstep at their earliest."

Vidya was taken by surprise to see the vehicle at her doorstep over the weekend. And what touched her more was the card with it: 'From Paa for Paa!'

When asked about her new acquisition, Vidya says, "Yes, I have just got a new car. But it is too personal. My parents have always preferred to remain away from the glare. All that I can say is that my dad knew exactly what I wanted."

FACT: Vidya's sister Priya Balan is into advertising and is with Lowe Lintas, of which Paa director Balki is the head honcho!
