A day after hitlist reported about the Bhatts deciding to market their next venture, 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani', on their own without relying on Fox Star Studios post Mr X's debacle, director Vikram Bhatt clarified that he does not wish to blame anyone for the film's failure.

He says, "I don't know if there was a showdown (with Fox). But I know that any director who passes on the buck when his film does not do well is no director at all. I fail and I learn. It's up to the Fox marketing (team) to take their lessons from their failures or successes.

When you are not looking to pass on the blame, nothing else matters. In my 23 years as a director, I have seen that there is a natural process of elimination in the entertainment industry. Unwillingness to accept blame is the first symptom of such elimination."
