The makers of Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film Drishyam, which is a remake of the eponymous 2013 Malayalam drama thriller, did not want to give a new title for the Bollywood version.

Normally when South Indian flicks are remade, they are retitled to make it appealing to the Hindi audience.

However, the producers felt that the title was unique which would arouse curiosity among audiences.
