A lot was being reported about Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan's Bollywood debut. While he will be seen headlining the upcoming Yash Raj Films' project, Maharaja, the young lad will be venturing into production as well.

Ahead of Junaid's acting debut, his father, Aamir, announced his maiden venture as a producer. During an interview, the superstar confirmed that his son will be producing the film, titled Pritam Pyaare. In his statement, Aamir said, "Junaid is now entering Bollywood as a producer like my father. With a new director and new team, I am happy with his work. I am doing a cameo in his movie for 5 minutes."

Junaid, Aamir's elder child from his previous marriage to Reena Dutta, reportedly worked as an assistant director in Rajkumar Hirani's PK (2014). He studied filmmaking in the US and was seen on stage in Quasar Thakore Padamsee's Mother Courage and Her Children and in sister Ira Khan's directorial debut, Medea.

Junaid's Maharaja is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra. It reportedly co-stars Jaideep Ahlawat. Rumours are rife that the film will be released directly on OTT after Yash Raj Films announced its collaboration with Netflix. The film is yet to be officially announced.

On the other hand, Junaid has reportedly signed his second film. The yet-to-be-titled project also stars Sai Pallavi as per reports. Set amidst the enchanting Japanese winters, the romantic drama promises to be a cinematic treat for audiences.

Reportedly, the film will be shot in Sapporo. Junaid visited the place to experience the breathtaking Japanese winters first-hand and attend the famous Snow Festival, which showcases stunning ice sculptures and snow art, attracting visitors from around the world. Having witnessed its beauty, the cast and crew knew Sappora would make the perfect backdrop for this love story.

Aamir is currently on a break from acting. He will be returning to acting soon. While the superstar isn't acting for some time, he will be continuing his work as a film producer. Aamir recently announced his collaboration with Sunny Deol. Titled Lahore, 1947, it will be directed by veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi. Reportedly, Aamir has a special cameo in the project.
