Get ready for some major excitement because Deepika Padukone is going to be one of the presenters at the BAFTA Film Awards 2024. She'll be sharing the stage with David Beckham, Cate Blanchett, and Dua Lipa, all set to hand out those prestigious golden masks on Sunday evening.

On February 13, news surfaced about Deepika Padukone. The actress is all set to grace the BAFTA stage to be a presenter! The Bollywood icon will join the likes of David Beckham, Cate Blanchett, and Dua Lipa. They are each scheduled to present a BAFTA Film Award, although the specific categories haven't been confirmed yet. Joining them as presenters for the night are Adjoa Andoh from 'Bridgerton,' Hugh Grant from 'Wonka,' and Lily Collins from 'Emily in Paris.'


Other notable names presenting awards include Emma Corrin and Gillian Anderson from 'The Crown,' Himesh Patel from 'Black Mirror,' and Idris Elba from 'Hijack.'

The Rising Star Award will be presented by former winners Emma Mackay and Jack O’Connell. This year's nominees include Phoebe Dynevor, Ayo Edebiri, Jacob Elordi, Mia McKenna-Bruce, and Sophie Wilde. Hannah Waddingham is set to perform a "special cover song" during the ceremony, which will be hosted by former Doctor Who David Tennant.

Sophie Ellis Bexter will also make an appearance, singing her 24-year-old track 'Murder on the Dancefloor,' which gained new popularity thanks to Emerald Fennell’s film 'Saltburn.'

Among the attendees are Barry Keoghan from 'Saltburn,' Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan from 'Maestro,' Cillian Murphy from 'Oppenheimer,' and directors Greta Gerwig, Christopher Nolan, Celine Song, and Yorgos Lanthimos.

The actress represented India at the Academy Awards, 2023, she was one of the chosen few from around the world who presented an award at the ceremony. Deepika joined the likes of Emily Blunt, Samuel L. Jackson, Dwayne Johnson, Michael B. Jordan, Janelle Monáe, Zoe Saldana, Jennifer Connelly, Riz Ahmed, Melissa McCarthy, among a few others who were part of this honor. The 95th Oscars aired live on ABC on Sunday, March 12, 2023.

Deepika has gone over and beyond in her achievements globally so often that she has treaded a new path herself and set new milestones on many international platforms. The actress represented the country on major platforms many times before, like when she was chosen to be the only Indian on the Cannes Jury, or when she unveiled the FIFA World Cup trophy, and when she was signed as the first face of the world’s biggest luxury brand, and many more.
