Producer Sajid Nadiadwala gets legal notice from Prakash Mehra's son

Sajid Nadiadwala and Sajid Khan are in trouble for remixing the song Apni Toh Jaisi Taisi for their film Housefull. The original song was in the film Laawaris, made by Prakash Mehra. Now the late director's son, on behalf of Prakash Mehra Productions, has sent a legal notice to the Housefull makers for remixing the song without their permission. The case is now in court.

However, Sajid Nadiadwala is all for resolving the situation peacefully. He claims he was not aware that the rights to the song were with Prakash Mehra Productions and not HMV. He has a contract with HMV and assumed they could use the song. He also said that had he known Prakash Mehra Productions had the rights to the song, he would have taken their permission to remix it. He hopes everything gets sorted out soon.
