Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s much-awaited and anticipated debut web series `Heeramandi` dropped on Netflix at the beginning of the month. Over the days, much has been spoken and discussed about the series that centers around the courtesans of Lahore in the 1920s who played a pivotal role in India`s independence movement. While some elements of the show have been praised, many have also criticised the series for its plot and over-the-top presentation of `Heeramandi`. Sharmin Segal who plays Alamzeb in the series has been specifically criticized and trolled for her performance in the series. Owing to the trolling, the actress has also turned off her comment section on Instagram.
