Ayushmann Khurrana has been giving us some serious style goals with his off-screen looks and the lady behind those fabulous outfits, stylist Isha Bhansali tells midday online all about what went into creating them.

1. This look was for an awards show.

I wanted to go simple and classic but at the same time have a strong jacket. I sourced this look from Owais Shaikh. I love the fabric that has a crushed feel to it. It has a statement look and is edgy, the effect comes because it’s crushed fabric and the fabric is shiny.  We opted for a tie instead of a bowtie to keep the look classic and sleek

2. This is an airport look.

Ayushmann is wearing PUMA. I love the quirky and fun print. I don’t go for the same fabric or print from head to toe so I used another block print track pant that is edgy but at the same time plays safe.

3. This is one of my favourite pieces by a label called No Black No White.

This is a fun twin set tracksuit for one of Ayushmann’s personal events. It is a very chilled out, relaxed look but at the same time the colour play and the tie dye effect, makes it stylish.

4. This is one of my favourite Tuxedos by Gaurav Gupta.

He does fabulous couture and this piece is very royal and baroque, with a western European feel to it. I did not want to take away focus from the jacket so I added a bow tie. I usually go for the classic look at awards shows and here the Tuxedo is the hero.

5. This is a very cool Tuxedo by Manish Malhotra, which is unlike him because he usually does a lot of embroidery and zardosi work.

I loved this outfit instantly, one of the few western pieces by Manish which Ayushmann wore for a promo shoot. I love the drama that the shine brings but it’s not very in your face, it’s subtle because of the sequins he has used. Again it’s very classic, I wanted it to look cool not formal and tailored so I rolled up the sleeves with the T-shirt.

6. This is a beautiful sequined jumpsuit by Amit Aggarwal. It’s fantastic to make a silhouette as well as embellishment of this sort for men.

Ayushmann wore the outfit for one of his performances at Chandigarh. I miss styling him for gigs because I could over the top and totally offbeat. Ayushmann carried it off with so much ease and looked fantastic on stage.

7. This look was for the promotions of Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan where he plays a gay character.

All his looks were related to gay pride and celebrating love. So I paired the slogan T-shirt with a bomber jacket. I didn’t want to go too bright so the focus remains on the rainbow on the T-shirt.

8. This again is one of my most favourite looks, it was for an awards ceremony where he received the award for being the most stylish man.

I wanted him to look divine and Godly. This all white look from Gaurav Gupta’s collection was definitely a head turner.

9. This yet again is a western European, baroque jacket by Gaurav Gupta.

The fabric, with an embossed effect is beautiful. I wanted him to look like a prince here and he did!
