The director, Atmaja Bopardikar, was excited at the response the film has received and went on to mention, “The kind of response and views the film has received is overwhelming for me and my team. Its selection at the festivals has given us all an encouragement and the kind of boost that all film-makers need. The subject was very different, slightly risky given its ending and hence I felt it better suited the short film format.”
Akanksha Bopardikar, who is the film’s producer said she’d never been a part of such a project before and went on to explain her experience as, “This was an interesting and somewhat challenging concept to produce given the format we had chosen, but was well received by Indian audiences. I hope this opens doors for creating more Indian sci-fi films for viewers everywhere.”
The film which received praise at various festivals including Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival also made its presence felt in Hollywood at the Asia Film Festival. Blink is now available in India on the Disney Hotstar.
