6.00 am: Sir Duke and Lady Ivy (my dogs and the world's most adorable boxers) are bouncing about like they had springs in their paws. We're going to theu00a0 beach yayyyy! Their favourite fetch toys in their mouths, running against the wind on the sand, dodging and barking at the waves! I love my bachchas!

8.30 am: After mucking about all over the beach, drinking nariyal pani, eating the fresh malai (all three of us love it) and playing 'bowling' with empty coconuts and getting drenched in the sea, we make our way home. Maa screams, "Take them to the terrace, I don't want sand all over my house." Some things never change.
