Words cannot express my happiness and love for both of you. Wish you all the happiness in the world. A promise Deepika made me during the shoot of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani that I'll be applying the mehendi at her wedding and she stuck to her words means the world to me. For the first time, Deepika and Ranveer shared glimpses of their most special day with the audience on Koffee With Karan 8. The couple tied the knot in November 2018 in Italy in a private ceremony with only family members in attendance. The video commenced with mushy footage of Deepika getting emotional at her mehendi and Ranveer wiped off her tears and licked it.

The wedding video features unseen footage from the ceremonies. At their official ring ceremony, Ranveer's father revealed the actor's dream was to marry Deepika one day and how it just came true. The actress' father, Badminton champion Prakash Padukone said Ranveer is exactly the opposite of the Padukones and why it was a much-needed change.

Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot at Lake Como in Italy according to Sindhi and Konkani rituals. They returned to India and hosted multiple receptions for friends and colleagues.
