A contemporary take on traditional folk music with flavours of Hindi and Bengali sounds, the song promises to add colour and joy to listeners’ lives this festive season. “When I first heard the track, I was instantly glued to it. It was the most appropriate time to put this song out because it complements the festive vibe that the country finds itself in now. We put everything together in 72 hours only.
As soon as I heard the number, I could visualise the colourful sets, frames, and dancers that would amplify the feel-good vibe,” says the director.
Arora says he wanted the dancers’ costumes “to have a decidedly Bengali look”, that was contemporary in keeping with mordern trends. Shaan is supported by Akriti Kakar, who also lent her voice to the number.
Arora’s previous works include directing Paani tera rang, Tutari, and Vaishnav janto.
