Three umbrella bodies tie-up with private hospitals to get vaccines for film and television industry members; individual production houses will bear the cost

Farhan Akhtar’s studio played a role in securing the vaccines
The first step towards getting Bollywood back on its feet is to ensure the vaccination of all involved. The Producers’ Guild of India and the Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA), in tandem with the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), are organising vaccination drives for the cast and crews of film units in the coming weeks.
The unions are collectively aiming to immunise close to 10,000 people, including artistes, producers, daily-wage workers and freelancers employed with active productions.
