Comedy and Comedians with Satish Kaushik: Actor-filmmaker to turn host

Actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik turns host with Comedy and Comedians with Satish Kaushik. He will narrate stories of legends Om Prakash, Tun Tun, Mehmood, Keshto Mukherjee and Johnny Walker. Kaushik, who is known for his comic timing, points out that the quintessential comedian has disappeared from Bollywood as the lead actor doubles up as the funny man as well. “It’s my sincere attempt to bring alive the journey of these stalwarts and share my experience of working with some of them,” says Kaushik about the show, which will air on a DTH service provider.

Satish Kaushik, who is currently being lauded for his role in Hansal Mehta's film Chhalaang and the web show Scam 1992, directed Pankaj Tripathi's Kaagaz. Kaagaz also features Mita Vashisht and Amar Upadhyay and is presented by Salman Khan Films with Satish Kaushik Entertainment Production. The film released digitally and in select theatres of Uttar Pradesh on January 7.

Kaagaz is a satire based in a small village in Uttar Pradesh. Tripathi plays Lal Bihari Mritak, a man who was officially declared dead. The story narrates how he had to work towards proving that he is alive. The film also features Mita Vashisht, Monal Gajjar, Amar Upadhyay and Lankesh Bhardwaj and is presented by Salman Khan Films with Satish Kaushik Entertainment Production.
