Veteran actor Dharmendra, who was recently seen in the much-loved film ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, talked about how he feels that his family hasn’t gotten their due from Bollywood.

In his interview with TimesNow, the actor shared, "Our family is not into marketing itself. We've always believed in letting our work speak for us. Sunny is in two of the biggest blockbusters of all time. You will never hear him talking about his achievements. My younger son Bobby (Deol) is also doing well for himself. But my family has never been given our due. We don't mind. The love of our fans is enough fuel to keep us going. We don't need the industry to acknowledge us." The actor continued and shared, "I didn't get a single award even for Satyakam."
During the interview, Dharmendra also talked about the success of his son Sunny Deol's film ‘Gadar 2’. He said that with God's Grace, Sunny's film Gadar 2 is a major success. Later he shared that there is a chance that Gadar 2 with surpass the first part. “This means that a big part of the Gadar 2 audience was not even born when the first Gadar was released. And yet, they are cheering, whistling, and clapping in the theatres. People are going crazy for the film," the actor added.
While son Sunny is shining with ‘Gadar 2’, Dharmendra also receiving rave reviews for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kil Prem Kahaani’. He, while talking about the film, shared, "Yes. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has gotten me so much love from all quarters. It was a relatively small role. But the entire drama unfolds around my character. I am happy to be part of a film where everyone is being praised. Karan Johar is a wonderful filmmaker - kind, generous and patient. I would love to work with him again. Ranveer. Alia bahot pyari bachchi hai. And so talented! The success of this film goes to the team." says the veteran actor.
For the unversed, the father-son duo has returned to the big screen after a long break, and both of their films have been box-office successes.
