Actress Divya Bharti, who worked predominantly in Telugu and Hindi films was born on February 25, 1974. She rose to fame at a very young age with films like  Shola Aur Shabnam and Deewana for which she received the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Divya died at the age of 19 on April 5 when she tragically fell from the balcony window of her Mumbai apartment. She was married to director-producer Sajid Nadiadwala. On her birth anniversary, here’s a look at some of her iconic dance numbers.

Saat Samunder Paar (Vishwatma)

Known for its catchy tune and energetic beats, the song is sung by Sadhana Sargam and also features Sunny Deol. Filmed in a disco-like setting, Divya can be seen in a shimmery golden and white dress. The track has never lost its relevance and remains to be the one played at pubs, parties, and weddings even today. Not to mention, it has also made its way to television commercials.

Payaliyan Oh Ho Ho Ho (Deewana)

Sung by the iconic duo Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu, this song is from the film Deewana. Divya and her co-star Rishi Kapoor can be seen dancing in a picturesque backdrop with lush greenery in the middle of the mountains. Clad in red and white outfits, Divya elevated this song with her beauty.

Aisi Deewangi (Deewana)

Another song from the same film, but instead of Rishi Kapoor, here it is Shah Rukh Khan. The two exuded charming chemistry with their dance on screen and Divya became a fashion icon in the black dress which became a trendsetter in the 90s.

Tujhe Na Dekhu Toh (Rang)

Sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik, this song features Divya in Rajasthani attire, as she twirls on the beats wearing a hot pink lehenga choli.

Milne Ki Tum Koshish Karna (Dil Ka Kya Kasoor)

Once again, Divya steals the show with her dancing skills as she steps foot on difficult terrain and yet manages to captivate the audience.

Kya Cheez Ye Mohobbat Hai (Balwan)

Sung by Kumar Sanu and Kavita Krishnamurthy, the song also features Suniel Shetty. Divya is at her fashionable best in this song and steals the show in the white outfit as she twirls alongside an architectural backdrop.
