As Amitabh Bachchan fans across the globe celebrate his 77th birthday on October 11, it is time to remember his first acting guru Frank Thakurdas. Movie buffs might not have seen Amitabh Bachchan as an actor had Delhi University's Kirori Mal College drama teacher Frank Thakurdas not ask Amitabh Bachchan to take part in the activities of the College drama society.

That meeting with Thakurdas had changed the life of Bachchan, then a BSc student at KM College. He studied at KM College from the year 1959 to 1962.
