Karan Johar’s next directorial venture, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani has been making news since its announcement. Now, buzz is that Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol might make a special appearance in the romance drama. The filmmaker is known to treat audiences with starry cameos in his movies. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which he last directed, also saw SRK play a small part of Tahir Taliyar Khan, ex-husband of Saba, played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Much to the audiences’ delight, the two actors lit up the screen in their scenes together. Talk is that KJo is likely to bring his two favourite actors together in the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt-starrer. Interestingly, SRK will also be seen in a cameo in the filmmaker’s production, Brahmastra, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia and Amitabh Bachchan. Though the Zero actor has a choc-a-block date diary with his new movies, sources say his and Kajol’s cameos can be shot in a day. While the nature of their appearances, whether in a scene or a song, is yet to be decided, SRK and Kajol’s special cameos in KJo’s next are sure to get audiences even more excited about the film.

It’s never too late
It appears as if Janhvi Kapoor believes that it is never too late for anything. Even though it had been two days since the International Dance Day, the Gunjan Saxena actor decided to mark it nonetheless. Sharing a video of her performance to Rekha’s Umrao Jaan song, In aankhon ki masti, online yesterday, she wrote, “#tb to 2 years ago, one of my first baithaki bhaav attempts (sic).” Janhvi, who admitted she missed performing the bhaithaki bhaav, added, “Happy international dance day everyone! Even though I’m two days late.”
A new home for Athiya-Rahul?
Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul have reportedly rented a swanky 4BHK in Carter Road for Rs 10 lakh a month. Interestingly, the place has been designed by Athiya’s mother, Mana Shetty. The Motichoor Chaknachoor actor and her cricketer beau are said to be planning a winter wedding later this year. Post the shaadi, the couple is said to move into a sprawling apartment in Pali Hill. Apparently, Rahul has bought a house in Sandhu Palace, located a couple of buildings away from Vastu, where the recently-married Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt reside. Rahul and Athiya have visited their Pali Hill home a few times.
Salman’s special gesture for Shehnaaz
It appears that Salman Khan is ensuring that Shehnaaz Gill has nothing to worry about as far as her big-screen break is concerned. Having cast the former Bigg Boss contestant in his next, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, the actor-producer is said to have given her the liberty to decide her remuneration. What’s more, given that she is currently busy with her Punjabi movie, he is also believed to have worked out her scenes in the Farhad Samji directorial venture accordingly. The Radhe actor has been taken in by Shehnaaz’s simplicity and honesty ever since she participated in the reality show.
Celebrations time
Anushka Sharma turned 34 yesterday and celebrated her birthday with her family. Along with daughter Vamika, she accompanied Virat Kohli for his IPL match. Later, he hosted a party where they were joined by other cricketers and their families. Sharing some pictures, Virat wrote, “Thank god you were born. I don’t know what I would do without you. You’re truly beautiful inside out. Had a great afternoon with the sweetest folks around.” Anushka replied, saying, “Stole my words and my heart.”

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan, who divorced eight years ago, always make sure to take time out for their sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan. Yesterday, Hridhaan turned 14, and the parents celebrated it with a Sunday brunch at a pan-Asian fine-dining restaurant. Hrehaan was also present for his younger brother’s special day. Interestingly, they both wore blue and black. Coincidence too much?
Aamir on a house-hunt
Aamir Khan, who has long had his base in Marina and Bella Vista in Bandra, is said to be contemplating moving out. The actor-filmmaker reportedly checked out some swanky apartments in Navroze in Pali Hill recently. Interestingly, this upcoming complex shares its wall with Gulzar’s bungalow. Sources say though Aamir liked the property, there’s no word yet on whether he will be locking the deal soon or looking for other options in the vicinity.
Exploring a new territory
Telugu director Balaji Mohan (Maari and Maari 2), is making his Hindi debut with a thriller, Click Shankar. A roller coaster of emotions and suspenseful twists and turns, this Junglee Pictures production revolves around Shankar Rebeiro, a cop with a photographic memory. Due to a rare condition called hyperthymesia, Shankar can never forget a sight, sound, smell, taste or feeling. Mohan, who is yet to finalise the cast of the film, says, “Click Shankar is an amalgamation of something deep, dark and edgy, wrapped with humour to keep the audience guessing and at the edge of their seats till the end.”
