Akshay Kumar may finally be stepping into pure horror! After 35 years of action, comedy, thrillers, and patriotic films, the superstar is reportedly in talks for a folklore-inspired horror film with War (2019) and Pathaan (2023) director Siddharth Anand. A source revealed that the script was pitched to Akshay a few months ago, and he has apparently responded positively. While he hasn’t officially signed on, he’s reportedly quite interested. The film, centred around a father-daughter story and packed with heavy VFX, will be directed by a debutant and produced under Siddharth’s Marflix banner. Akshay’s packed slate includes, Welcome to the Jungle, OMG 3, and more. Will this horror flick mark a major genre shift for Akki? Only time will tell!
