Have you heard? Early Ramayan for Prabhas?

Prabhas

Prabhas is currently mourning the demise of his uncle and veteran actor-politician, Uppalapati Krishnam Raju, who passed away early Monday morning. However, we hear that the actor has been approached to participate in Delhi’s LavKush RamLila, that starts on September 26. The 10-day festivities will culminate with the burning of demon king Raavan’s effigy on Dussehra, on October 5. The RamLila committee representatives have reportedly said that since Prabhas plays Lord Ram in his January 2023 release, Adipurush, which is based on the Ramayana, there couldn’t be a more appropriate actor to perform Raavan dahan on Vijay Dashami. The actor will set afire the effigies of Raavan, Kumbhakaran and Meghnaad by shooting them with specially-made arrows.

Rani Mukerji caught a preview of husband Aditya Chopra’s stage musical, 'Come Fall In Love', on Sunday evening. Based on his blockbuster directorial debut, 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' (1995), starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, the musical features Austin Colby as Raj. Shoba Narayan, who steps into Kajol’s role of Simran, shared a picture with the 'Mardaani' actor, saying, “Thank you Rani for your words. So thrilled to have you in our audience last night.”

Anil Kapoor and Varun Dhawan wowed cinegoers with their portrayal as father and son in the recently released Jugjugg Jeeyo. So, it’s not surprising that Karan Johar got them to come together for Koffee with Karan that is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The versatile actor and the young heartthrob are set to hook viewers with their conversations around marriage, relationships and competition in the industry. Their reel father-son equation seems to translate in real life too. Recalling his first impression of the Kalank actor, Anil said, “Varun felt more like my son than David Dhawan’s. He is hard-working, has a great sense of humour and always wants to give his best.” Calling the Thar actor “the most mischievous person” he has ever met, Varun added, “Anil ji has his humour on 24x7 on the set. He was the chirpiest and the most energetic person around. I pray that I get to do a movie with him every two years.” Now, that depends on whether AK likes the script and his role.
