Have you heard? On mental health

Neha Dhupia

Neha Dhupia spoke about the importance of mental health, and shared how she dealt with post-partum depression. At the national capital along with her husband, actor Angad Bedi for an event, the former Miss India said, “People think they won’t take therapy. It’s okay to look after your mental health. Sometimes you need to talk, you need someone to listen to. I went through a dip in my life. I had something called post-partum depression. For the first four months I didn’t realise the symptoms. So reaching out, meeting people and taking therapy are not wrong. We should keep our mental health strong,” she said. Dhupia married Bedi in May 2018. The couple has two kids, daughter Mehr, and son Guriq. Dhupia will feature alongside Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri in her next. Anand Tiwari’s yet-untitled directorial film is a comedy.

You, me and pizza

It’s been eleven years since Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan got married, and the former marked the day with a heart-warming social media post of the duo that sees her consuming pizza. “This is us. Forever kinda love,” wrote Kapoor. Several industry folk congratulated the couple, with the actor’s Jaane Jaan co-star Jaideep Ahlawat commenting, “Saif sir be like: Poora pizza isne khaya hai.” Saba Ali Khan, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and Maheep Kapoor also wished the couple on their special day.

All things love

Veteran actor Ila Arun has opened up on working with Sushmita Sen in the upcoming third edition of the crime thriller, Aarya. “The moment I landed the role, I was filled with anticipation about seeing Sushmita once more. Our previous collaboration on Chingaari had already formed a strong bond and mutual respect between us, and it was during that time that I truly got to know the actor in her. Witnessing her on set revealed her incredible strength. There was an abundance of affection. She affectionately refers to me as, Ma,” said Arun.

Marking Malini’s 75th

On Hema Malini’s birthday yesterday, her actor-daughter Esha Deol shared a note on social media. “Happy birthday, mamma.  Celebrating you today and forever. A divine lady who lives life on her own terms with utmost grace and dignity; a powerhouse. A loving daughter and wife, compassionate mother, adorable grandmother, fantastic actor, graceful dancer, honest politician,” she wrote of Malini, who turned 75 yesterday.

No lover like SRK?

Rani Mukerji, who celebrated 25 years since the release of her romance film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, shared that her co-star Shah Rukh Khan—with whom she has frequently collaborated—has taught her how to romance on screen. At a special screening organised for the film, Mukerji said of Karan Johar’s directorial venture: “SRK taught me how to romance. So when SRK says, ‘Let the young people do the romance’, I don’t think anyone can do the romance like him (sic).” She added that she was initially sceptical about the audience’s reception to Rahul and Tina’s love story.   “I was very nervous that the audience would not accept Rahul falling in love with Tina when Anjali was around. But, what Karan wrote, happened.”

Letters of love

In conversation with a German brand, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that his wife Alia Bhatt writes “an email every day” to their one-year-old daughter. “I thought I would start writing to her someday. I am, actually. I will write extraordinary letters to her,” he revealed, adding that he enjoys reading the love letters his grandparents wrote to one another.
