As expected, the release of Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Anek has been deferred by two weeks. Initially scheduled to open in cinemas on May 13, the Anubhav Sinha directorial venture will now come on May 27. With this move, the producers have avoided a clash with Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which arrives on May 13. As a goodwill gesture, the trailer of Anek will be attached to Jayeshbhai Jordaar when it releases. Previously, the Sidharth Malhotra-Rashmika Mandanna starrer Mission Majnu, also slated to hit the marquee on May 13, was postponed to June 10 to avoid a box-office face-off with Ranveer’s film.
