Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s wedding festivities culminated last night with the big Bollywood reception. Those eager to see the newly-weds pair up on screen again may not have to wait for too long. Rumours are rife that the Shershaah duo has inked a three-movie deal with mentor Karan Johar’s production house. While there is no official word on this development, it is being said that Sid-Kiara’s films could belong to the musical romance comedy space, like fellow students, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s Dulhania series. Interestingly, Sid’s next offering, Yodha is produced by Shashank Khaitan, who helmed Varun-Alia’s Dulhania franchise. Since the hatke rom-com, Adal Badal, with the just-married couple is taking time to develop, we won’t be surprised if their next with KJo is announced first.
Jawan set to wrap up soon
After wrapping up a six-day schedule of Jawan in Mumbai last week, Shah Rukh Khan and director Atlee headed to Chennai over the weekend for the final schedule of their maiden collaboration. In the Tamil Nadu capital, the actor-producer also visited Nayanthara’s home, to meet his leading lady, her director- husband Vignesh Shivan and their twin boys, who were born last October. The Jawan team is set to complete the shoot of the film by March as the film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on June 2. Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, who plays the antagonist in this project, will also participate in the shoot in the coming days. They will film some dramatic and action sequences.
It’s all about the action
Director Siddharth Anand, who is riding high on the success of his Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan, was recently asked about the action in the spy thriller. “If [one] keeps doing the same things, like blowing up cars, [it’s not enjoyable]. We have seen that. You need to keep pushing the envelope,” he reportedly said, triggering off speculation on social media that he was hitting back at Rohit Shetty. A week after the release of Pathaan, the action of which is being lauded by audiences, the Cirkus director shared a video of flipping cars from the sets of his next, Indian Police Force. Alongside, he wrote, “Back to our old business! Ab aane waale do saal phaad denge. That’s how you flip a running car. No visual effects. Everything is real!” Netizens believe the two directors are constantly taking off on each other. Perhaps, it’s best to leave the action for reel!
Wedding again
About three years after their court marriage in 2020, Hardik Pandya and Natassa Stankovic are set to marry again. This time around, it will be a traditional wedding, spread over four days, starting from February 13. The duo, who had been planning it since last November, will take the pheras on Valentine’s Day. Interestingly, the couple’s son Agastya — whom they welcomed in July 2020 — will also join them in ceremonies like haldi, mehendi, and sangeet.
Kangana bats for Nawaz
Kangana Ranaut has come out in support of Nawazuddin Siddiqui in his legal tussle with estranged wife Aaliya. The Dhaakad actor urged the concerned authorities to help him in his fight. Pained to see Nawaz being humiliated outside his home, she said, “I request the concerned authorities to immediately send her to the house which Nawaz sir had bought for her in Everest Apartments. From there, she can settle legally whatever her demands are (sic).” Further weighing in on property related issues pertaining to the couple, the actor shared, “They are divorced for many years. Now, she has no right to his properties and she can’t defame him by making secret videos and release them out of context, in bits and pieces such that he even fears returning home. This is so wrong.”
Daggubatis in legal wrangle
A Hyderabad businessman has filed a case against Rana Daggubati and his producer-father D Suresh Babu, accusing them of forcing him to vacate his legally-owned land. The third additional chief metropolitan magistrate court of Nampally has reportedly issued summons to the duo, asking them to appear for the hearing on May 1. In his complaint, the businessman has stated that he bought the property from Suresh Babu for Rs 18 crore. He alleged that even after he paid R5 crore, as per the deal, Suresh Babu didn’t complete the registration process. And before the matter could be resolved, he had transferred the property in his son Rana’s name.
