<p>Shahid Kapoor has finished shooting for 'Rangoon', where he is donning his career's most demanding role. In 'Rangoon', which also stars Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut, Shahid is playing a soldier.</p>

<p>From drugs to alcohol, Shahid will be seen authenticating the after-effects of all these substances on celluloid in 'Udta Punjab' through his character. In real life, Shahid refrains from consuming even alcohol because of religious beliefs.</p>

<p>Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, 'Udta Punjab' also stars Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.</p>
<p>The film highlights the issue of rampant drug abuse among youth in Punjab. It features Alia as a migrant Bihari labourer, Kareena as a doctor who is determined to fight the illegal transportation of drugs, and Diljit as a police officer.</p>
<p>The film is slated to release on June 17.</p>
