'Krrish' had global significance, was a trendsetter and established many firsts in Indian cinema – from being the first film to shoot in unexplored locations to paving the way for cutting edge visual effects in the country. 'Krrish 4' is definitely in the pipeline. The actor had earlier mentioned that given the anticipation surrounding the next 'Krrish' film, the makers are all set to take this one to the next level and we expect nothing less from the cult franchise!
It all began for the Roshans in 2003 when they came together for ‘Koi Mil Gaya’, a film about an alien arriving at an alien land and befriending a mentally challenged man named Rohit. It leaves for where it belongs but gives him some Superpowers.
Three years later in ‘'Krrish'’, Rohit’s son Krishna takes the center stage and we get to see the first legitimate Superhero of the nation and his reunion with his father. Roshan took the visual effects several notches higher and the ambition paid off. The sequel ended on a cliffhanger and the globe was prepared for a franchise.
Curiously titled ‘'Krrish' 3,’ Rohit and Krishna this time battled a virus that has claimed multiple lives and wrecked havoc in the city of Mumbai. Roshan Sr., in one of the bits of the making of the movie, revealed all the special effects were conceptualised by an Indian company. Rohan Jr. also proudly exclaimed that this was the first Indian Superhero film. And this too ended on a suspenseful cliffhanger.
If you notice Hrithik Roshan’s post on the anniversary of ‘Krrish’, he mentions about the fourth film of the series and not one bit has been revealed to fans about what to expect this time. There are theories floating around that the actor is all set to reunite with the alien he befriended in the first part. Some say it’s a time travel where Krishna will revisit the past to get his father back to life. Only time will tell what will unfold in ‘Krrish 4’.
