According to IMDb, Shah Rukh-Nayanthara's thriller makers have mentioned Karan Johar, Govind Bhana, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Yash. The reason behind the same hasn't been stated. Netizens believe they might be dubbing the Kannada and Malayalam versions of either the film or the upcoming trailer.
Jawan brings together a stellar cast. Shah Rukh teams up with Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi for the first time. While the film has South stars, it also features Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra and Sunil Grover from the Hindi belt. Priyamani is also playing an important role.
The third song from Jawan, titled Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya will be releasing tomorrow. Sharing a teaser, Shah Rukh wrote, "This is ‘Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya….‘ want to thank Vaibhavi Merchant for bearing with my two left feet. And of course the talented Anirudh."
Amid much anticipation and speculation for the trailer ahead of Jawan's release, Karan Johar shared a cryptic note on his Instagram stories. Without revealing the title of the film, the director wrote, "I just saw the trailer of the century!!!!!!!" He added, "#iykyk (sic)." Netizens were quick to speculate that Karan watched the trailer of Jawan.
The advance booking of Jawan opened in select theatres in Mumbai and Thane. Despite the ticket prices being as high as Rs. 1100, fans went all out to purchase them. Early morning shows also sold out like hotcakes.
Jawan will release in theatres globally on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It marks the Hindi debut of Nayanthara. Director Atlee, who is known to make massy cinema down South, will be making his Hindi directorial debut.
After Jawan, Shah Rukh will be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki with Taapsee Pannu. The socio-drama revolves around donkey flights which is an illegal method of entering a foreign country via multiple stops in other countries.
