In April, Kareena had shared a post on her social media account talking about the Covid-19 pandemic and requesting fans to follow safety norms. The actor shared a statement on Instagram urging people to understand the gravity of the situation India is in currently. She wrote, "It's unimaginable for me to know that there are still many people who do not understand the gravity of the situation our country is in. The next time you step out, or wear your mask under your chin, or flout the rules, spare a thought for our doctors and medical staff. They are at a breaking point both mentally and physically. Each one of you reading this is responsible for breaking the chain. Now more than ever, India needs you."

On the other hand, Anushka Sharma and Dia Mirza have come forward to spread the word about the National Commission For Women’s helpline to help pregnant women amid the pandemic. The actors posted that the women’s organisation has launched a round-the-clock WhatsApp helpline number for their Happy to Help initiative, which is for expectant mothers in need of medical attention. It is a ‘message only’ helpline number 9354954224 that would provide round the clock medical assistant to expectant mothers across the country. Mum-to-be Dia Mirza also informed that none of the vaccinations being used in India have been tested on pregnant women and lactating mothers. “My doctor says we cannot take these vaccines until the required clinical trials have been done,” she posted.
