What's it about: A story of love, betrayal, reincarnation and revenge is what Karma is all about. Anna (Saraci) and Vikram (Weyant) visit India on a trip seeking reconciliation with his father Ranvir (Ghatge).
What initially seems like an ordinary visit turns into something more than expected for the couple. After a party thrown by her father-in-law in their honour, Anna starts hearing voices and seeing people. No one knows who's this Linda (Ciesla) that keeps coming up in Anna's visions.
As time goes by, the strange sights and sounds keep happening on a regular basis. Initially, Ranvir and Vikram pass them off as hallucinations, but soon people around Anna start giving her clues about a past that was attempted to be buried and hushed up.
What's hot: You have to agree that a subject like reincarnation weaved with layers of suspense and intrigue does make interesting viewing.
In terms of creating an atmosphere conducive to a film of this genre, Shahjahan succeeds partially.
Saraci as the naive Anna sucked into something she's not responsible for, is spot on. Her chemistry with Weyantu00a0 translates on screen and as a couple they succeed in creating an impact.
