Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for Anees Bazmee's 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' that releases in cinemas on May 20. The actor was in Chandigarh for the promotions of his upcoming horror-comedy that also stars Tabu and Kiara Advani. On May 2, the makers shared the title track of the sequel that became a rage back in 2007 with Akshay Kumar in full swagger and stylish mode. Aaryan tweaks the number with his own enigma. Sung by Neeraj Shridhar, and music recreated by Tanishk Bagchi, the song showcased a new hook step done by actor Kartik Aryan. He shared the song on his Instagram handle, With the caption, "Do the ZigZag step with Rooh baba !! #BhoolBhulaiyaa2 TITLE TRACK OUT NOW."

The film, starring Kartik Aaryan, Tabu, and Kiara Advani, is a sequel to Priyadarshan's popular 2007 film 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa', which was a remake of the 1993 Malayalam film 'Manichitrathazhu,' directed by Fazil, who is the father of Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil.

In an interview with mid-day, Anees Bazmee said, "[The situation] cannot be helped. All I can do is announce my release date so that others know to avoid the [same date]. A clash is imminent, and films could get affected, but that is fine. As a filmmaker, what I can do is make a good movie." He spoke pertaining to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Aware that audiences will strike a comparison between the sequel and Priyadarshan’s first instalment, but Bazmee is unperturbed. “Priyadarshan’s movie was beautiful and loved by many. [So], the pressure to make a better one is there. The screenplay is like mathematics to me. I write scenes anticipating audience reaction. My average for superhit movies is high,” he says of the supernatural thriller film.
