After wrapping up her debut project opposite R Madhavan, which remains untitled yet, Khushali Kumar has flown to Jhansi to kickstart Hansal Mehta’s Dedh Bigha Zameen. The recently announced film showcases the actor opposite Pratik Gandhi of Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story fame.
A source informs, “The story revolves around the struggle of a common man to win what is his. As the film is set in a small town of Uttar Pradesh, Khushali has been working hard to get into the skin of her character.” The actor has taken off to Jhansi earlier than scheduled to brush up on the language. “She has been prepping for her role and taking diction lessons to get the local dialect right. [She has been] interacting with locals to understand their culture and way of life,” adds the source.
