Babil: Feel dad's presence strongly here

In showbiz, it’s almost customary for budding artistes to do a photoshoot ahead of the release of their launch vehicle. While his first photoshoot was a personal milestone for Babil who is set to foray into acting with the Anushka Sharma-backed Qala, it also had a tinge of nostalgia. When discussing with photographer Shivaji Sen about the possible locations for the shoot, the youngster suggested his Nashik farmhouse. He believed the place, which was built by his late father Irrfan, would serve as the perfect backdrop.

“The farmhouse is special for my family. It is the one abode my father returned to whenever he needed to unwind. I feel his presence strongly around the area. This is why I chose it,” says Babil. He was styled by Isha Bhansali for the shoot that captured his many moods. “We spoke about what I wanted to [convey through the pictures] and the results are at par with what we set out to achieve.”
