Manoj Bajpayee is busy promoting his upcoming film, Budhia Singh. He doesn’t feel the need to give attention to the Censor Board chief Pahlaj Nihalani’s recent reported comments of calling Bajpayee a "spent force" and "for waiting for his career to kickstart".

Bajpayee says, "I don’t feel the need to comment on such minute issues."

Meanwhile showing support towards the Aligarh actor, director Hansal Mehta stated on social media, "I am upset that Mr Nihalani gave such a disparaging interview in response to a statement that Manoj never made. Manoj is a dear friend, but more than that he is a remarkable artiste with an enviable list of films and performances to his credit. Artistes like him are national treasures and to be spoken of in such a derogatory terms by the CBFC chief is an insult to all the Indian artistes."
