Actress Bhagyashree and daughter Avantika Dassani join mid-day.com as they prepare to celebrate Mother’s Day today.

Bhagyashree says, “Avantika was born into a family full of boys. She was my princess, the family’s princess and the apple of everyone’s eye. Being in an all boys atmosphere, she had to fend for herself because I’m not a pampering mother. I would tell the kids to solve their own fights! I was called to school because she was ready to beat up a boy who misbehaved with another girl. She always stood up for people and stood her ground no matter what!”
