Abhay Verma, Sharvari Wagh and Mona Singh-starrer horror-comedy `Munjya` hit the theatres on Friday. The film which does not have a major star cast surprised all with its box office performance on day 1. Coming from the horror-comedy universe of `Stree` and `Bhediya`, Munjya has been directed by debutant Aditya Sarpotdar. The film earned Rs 4.21 crore at the box office in India on opening day. This is a great sign considering that the film does not have an A-list cast and had very limited pre-release promotion. 

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his social media handle to share the box office update on the film.
