Welcome To New York makers may drop Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's vocals after Babul Supriyo sparks outrage

Singer-turned-union minister Babul Supriyo kicked off a storm over the weekend when he demanded that makers of Welcome To New York drop Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's vocals from the song, Ishtehar, featuring Diljit Dosanjh and Sonakshi Sinha. He questioned the makers' need to rope in a Pakistani artiste at a time when India-Pakistan relations are strained. The controversy has sent producers Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani, and director Chakri Toleti into a tizzy. It has been learnt that they are considering dubbing the song again with an Indian artiste.
