Ashwin’s big-budget movie’s pre-production has been going on for a over year ever since it was announced that Prabhas will feature in the pan-India film. Looks like the South star is too busy for it now.

Prabhas wants Ashwin's big-budget film to be pushed to October?

Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan

Prabhas is said to be keen to defer the launch of his sci-fi thriller, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, looking at how things are unfolding in the second wave of the pandemic. Nag Ashwin’s directorial venture is slated to roll in July. The Baahubali sensation wants it to be pushed to October as the shoot of his other project, Om Raut’s Adipurush, ground to a halt due to the spike in cases. He wants to complete work on it first. Ashwin’s big-budget movie’s pre-production has been going on for over a year ever since it was announced that Prabhas will feature in the pan-India film.

The yet-untitled film is slated to release in 2022. "I feel lucky and blessed that Bachchan Sir has selected our film among the many choices he has. It is a full-length role, which we believe will do justice to the legend that he is," the film's director Nag Ashwin said in a media interaction earlier.

The multi-lingual film is backed by the South Indian production house Vyjayanthi Movies, popular for projects such as Mahanati, Agni Parvatam and Indra. This is the first time Prabhas collaborates with Big B or Deepika. The two Bollywood stars have earlier worked together in the films Aarakshan and Piku.

Speaking about his release Radhe Shyam, it is said to release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, and was slated to hit screens on July 30 this year. Filmmaker Radha Krishna Kumar has directed and written the film, which is a period romantic drama. Besides Prabhas and Pooja, the film also features Sachin Khedekar, Priyadarsi Pulikonda, Bhagyashree, Murli Sharma, Kunaal Roy Kapoor, Riddhi Kumar, Sasha Chettri and Sathyan.

The film was being shot in Georgia when the lockdown happened. The team resumed shooting in October last year.

Looks like the South star is too busy for it now.
