Ramesh Sippy was conspicious by his absence at an event to launch the first trailer of Sholay 3D on Thursday. The entire Sippy family was in attendance except for Ramesh Sippy. Producer Boney Kapoor was also present. Producer Jayantilal Gada says, &ldquo;We had invited Ramesh Sippy but he refused to attend the event because of family issues. We then thought it was best to start the promotions with the film&rsquo;s writer duo Salim-Javed.&rdquo; Adds Gada, &ldquo;We will approach him again and I hope he agrees to promote the film as he is the director and he deserves to be a part of it.&rdquo; u00a0
