On April 14, the couple had taken off for the Garden City to spend time with Dippy’s parents Prakash and Ujjala, and sister Anisha. Her family, including herself, had reportedly tested positive for Covid-19. But Padukone, as well as Singh, preferred to keep mum about it.

A fortnight ago, Deepika's her father, badminton icon Prakash Padukone had tested positive for Covid-19. The Padukone Sr was admitted to the hospital due to a high fever. Deepika's mother Ujjala Padukone and younger sister Anisha also had tested positive for Covid-19. There were reports of Deepika herself testing positive for Covid-19, but there was no official confirmation from the actress. Deepika has several high-profile films lined up over the next few months.
