Aman Siddique played Banku in Bhootnath

Amitabh Bachchan starred in the 2008 Hindi supernatural comedy film, Bhoothnath. Child actor Aman Siddique played the lead role of Banku in the film. Playing a kid who was not scared of the ghost, Aman as Banku won many hearts with his antics and demands from Bhootnath, making him dance to his tunes and do his bidding.

Aman's cute and adorable charms as a kid made the film an endearing watch. His interactions with Bachchan on-screen were the most enjoyable moments in the film.

While he won hearts as a child actor in the film, little Banku is all grown up now. Latest photos of the actor on his social media have amazed people.

Even though he is remembered for his role as an actor, Aman primarily describes himself as a musician on his Instagram account. His Instagram bio reads, “Singer, Actor, Lyricist, Composer.” He often shares pictures of himself on Instagram and also releases his covers of popular Bollywood songs.

He also recently posted a video of himself performing on Brahmastra’s Shiva theme. He has shared videos of himself singing Farhan Akhtar’s 'Tum Ho Toh, and Brahmastra's 'Rasiya'. He has also starred in a music video called 'Ruhaniyat'.

However, Aman has not appeared in a movie or TV show ever since his appearance in Bhootnath. When the film released in 2008, he had said he wanted to be a cricketer when he grew up because, "it is real, acting is not real."

Fans seem to remember him mostly as Banku from Bhootnath, as many comments on his posts mention the film and his role and dialogues in it. One user commented, "मैं भूत हूँ Main bhoot hoon. Bhootnath is a great film. What kind of music are you doing?"

'Bhoothnath' was released on 9 May 2008, receiving positive reviews from critics. It was well received by audiences and popular among children, becoming a success at the box office. The performances of the main cast were praised by critics and audiences alike. A sequel titled Bhoothnath Returns, written and directed by Nitesh Tiwari, was released on 11 April 2014.
