While the film's premise is extremely plausible, its execution far from exciting.
Bad news is good news. And nothing sells like crime. Considering that murder and mayhem always grab headlines, the film’s premise is extremely plausible but its execution far from exciting. Things just happen, songs are thrown in (back-to-back), some make-believe follows with an end that is as predictable as in any B-Town potboiler.
Emraan Hashmi essays a television crime reporter who always manages to obtain the best stories. This includes bribing his sources to gain access to the criminals. He lands in trouble when he interviews a sharpshooter (Murli Sharma who has his moments) who blurts out the names of an industrialist he has struck. This is Emraan’s big moment but flashing the businessman’s name on the channel lands him in a soup. The cops tail him to reveal the identity of the sharpshooter while the channel is forced to state it was a false story due to the demands of the powers that be. This leads to his downfall as well as of the going-ons.
