After actioners in KGF: Chapter 2 and Prithviraj, Dutt to front comedy that rolls next month

Sanjay Dutt recently asked fans to appeal to Rajkumar Hirani to make Munna Bhai 3, joking that he was tired of requesting the filmmaker. Though it may be a while before he reprises his role of the endearing goon, it is clear that the actor has comedy on his mind. It is heard that after a spate of actioners in KGF: Chapter 2, Shamshera and Prithviraj, he has signed on a laugh riot.

A trade source reveals, “As much as he enjoyed playing the antagonist in KGF and Shamshera, and a key role in Prithviraj, Sanjay was looking for a change of pace. He realised that it had been a while since he displayed his comic timing on screen. He has given his nod to a comedy that will be helmed by a filmmaker known for his expertise in the genre. The final draft of the script is being locked.”
If things go as per plan, the actor will begin shooting for the project in January. For now, he has winged his way to Dubai to enjoy the holiday season.
