It’s not easy to keep Sanjay Dutt from a movie set. Despite his cancer diagnosis last August, he honoured his pending commitments over the next few months, taking Shamshera, Bhuj: The Pride of India and KGF: Chapter 2 to the finish line. Having emerged triumphant in his battle against the Big C since, the actor recently faced the camera again for Akshay Kumar-starrer Prithviraj.

A source reveals, “Akshay and Manushi Chhillar had completed their portions last year, but Dutt’s dates had to be reworked as he had taken a short break for his medical treatment. Last week, he reported for the final schedule of the historical drama at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai, and completed the project over the next five days.”
Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi is all praise for Dutt, who reportedly plays antagonist Muhammad of Ghor in the period piece. “Considering the pandemic and his health, we had taken all possible precautions to make the set a safe environment. Most Yash Raj [productions] were shot in a bio-bubble; we followed suit. We were worried about Sanjay’s health, but he is a fighter,” says the director.
