Shilpa Shetty Kundra, a name that has been synonymous with grace, talent, and impeccable dance moves since her Bollywood debut in 1993, recently celebrated a significant milestone—her thirtieth year in the Hindi film industry. This journey, marked by ups and downs, has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. In a candid interview with ETimes, Shilpa delved into her remarkable acting odyssey and the "poetic justice of life" that has defined her career.

Shilpa's entry into Bollywood was a dazzling one, with her sharing screen space with none other than Shah Rukh Khan in the iconic film, "Baazigar." Over the years, she has not only carved a niche for herself as an actor but has also bewitched audiences with her mesmerizing dance performances.

Reflecting on her illustrious career, Shilpa candidly admitted to never being counted among the top ten actors during her prime. She attributed this perceived oversight to a lack of opportunities that prevailed during that era. However, as the sands of time have shifted, so has Shilpa's fortune. Today, she has every reason to celebrate her diverse and thriving career, which spans television, film, and more.

In her own words, "I feel there is poetic justice of life, always. I was never in the top 10 actors (list). I may have received a lot of love and adulation but never counted in the top 10 actors - maybe lack of opportunity, or what, I don't know. Today, look at me! I am doing the biggest series, I have just finished filming a movie, I am doing a multilingual film, and I have nothing to complain about today. We all have our journey, I have carved a niche on TV, my brands are doing well."

Indeed, Shilpa Shetty Kundra's journey serves as a compelling reminder that the entertainment industry can be a fickle mistress, but talent and perseverance can lead to a glorious resurgence. Her transition from silver screen to television has been nothing short of a triumph, further cementing her status as an enduring icon in Indian entertainment.

On the work front, Shilpa Shetty Kundra has continued to dazzle audiences with her on-screen presence. Her latest outing was in the action-comedy film "Nikamma," directed by Sabbir Khan. However, her cinematic journey is far from over. She is set to grace the screen in "Sukhee," alongside talented co-stars like Amid Sadh and Kusha Kapila. In this film, Shilpa takes on the role of a Punjabi housewife who embarks on a journey to Delhi with her friends to attend her school reunion after two decades.
