Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan worked together in the cult classic film Darr of 1993. With his villainous act, Shah Rukh Khan made a lasting impression and shot to fame. Reportedly, he also overshadowed the protagonist played by Deo. According to reports, the duo had a tiff and did not speak to each other for 16 years. 

Thirty years later, in 2023, Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan are dominating the box office with their respective films. Recently, during an AskSRK session on Twitter, Khan said that he liked `Gadar 2` that has been breaking records at the box office. Now, Sunny Deol opened up about his equation with SRK and said that they had buried the hatchet long ago.
